Areas of Support
Immigration & Adaptation
Recently arrived and don’t know where to start? The American system is complicated even without a language barrier. Depending on your location and volunteer availability, we can help with first everyday steps — and simply help you get oriented in a new country.
How We May Help
- Help with first steps: opening a bank account, driver’s license, navigating government offices.
- Volunteer accompaniment to appointments and institutions, depending on location.
- Help finding the services and resources you need in your area.
- Referrals to immigration attorneys and accredited representatives for legal questions.
- Women’s community meetings in Tampa Bay — because adaptation is also about people.
The scope and format of help are determined individually and depend on the situation, the Foundation’s resources and program criteria.
